The Story of Overbrook Kansas

From its founding in 1886 to the present day, the story of Overbrook is punctuated by a desire to remain relevant and attractive to visitors here.

Overbrook banks have fallen victim to a string of bizarre bank robbery attempts (some successful) through the years. 

Before we were officially a town, the Santa Fe Trail passed through these parts. Signs of those
historic journeys remain to this day. 

Since it was born out of a contest hosted by the Overbrook Booster Club, the motto "Don't Overlook Overbrook" has served the city well.. 

Shirley Simmons and the cafe that bore her name became an enduring symbol of hard work and community from those early days in the 60s.
